What is the most basic element to human civilization?

Shelter from the storm. We started in caves, and we may end in caves. I don’t know what kind of weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

This painting captures one of my most emotional images yet. It captures something so vulnerable; the need for a person to hold you. To find solace in one another, sometimes even without knowing who we really are. The power of having someone by your side, in the darkest hours of the most frightening nights overcomes our need to know or find the perfect ideal that doesn’t exist in anyone.

The heads of our subjects are obscured by Sacred Geometric grids, revealing a protected or perhaps imprisoned aether inside.

There are several hidden apparitions in the darkness eluding to the fears, dangers, and protectors of the outer world, away from the fire inside.
