I was one of 4 artists selected to be a “Map Maker” at Electric Forest, an art and music fest that people travel from all over the nation to visit. I will be Live Painting for 4 days with free camping and $500 stipend (covered the plane ticket to Rothbury, Michigan where the event is held.) After the event, my piece will be auctioned off to a charity.
Stoked to be accepted for my first California art appearance at The Fillmore Jazz Fest!
Saturday & Sunday, July 2nd & 3rd this event boasts a whopping 100,000 in usual attendance.
Fillmore Street, right outside the famous Fillmore Theater in San Francisco, CA More info on their website.
I have accepted the invitation to show my work at the Bucktown Art Fest in Chicago, Illinois August 27 & 28th! More uncharted territory for my art tour. I told you I was goin places this year! 😉 Looking forward to some nice cool weather. More info from their website.
EDIT: I had to decline this show, but added ART BASEL, Miami Florida, so it’s all good. Check out my recap of that.
Finally, I just got acceptance this morning for the local behemoth, the Bayou City Arts Fest. This is a national destination, as all the other festivals I applied for, so it’s always nice when the local establishment recognizes you. I look forward to great wind-down to Art Tour 1 with this cool weather event on October 8 & 9th in Downtown, Houston. Check their Facebook as their site is funky at the moment.
All the while, I must continue producing paintings, designing and printing t-shirts, and inking The Atlas Metamorphosis Stage 4 of 4: God Beetle Rises! I have one studio helper at the moment, but will continue to seek helpers/interns in the future. (Hit me up if you want to volunteer! Soon this will be a paid gig, but not as of now.)
There’s more possible acceptances coming down the pipeline, and there’s some even bigger news I haven’t revealed to anyone yet, so stay tuned for high vibration art news from this edge of chaos.
Thank you for supporting artists who would rather die than give up on their dream!
