Another Week…

3 Really Cool Events All Converge into One Great Week

The above photo is from last year’s White Linen Night in the Heights to which has been one of my favorite and definitely most populated summer events and the great quality of art is amazing. The 1st White Linen Night actually changed my life.

It was the 1st time in my life I set a strong mental goal, and essentially attracted an outcome I previously thought wasn’t possible. I use to think my art didn’t sell, until one day I realized it was that exact thought that was stopping up the pipeline. I said I could sell at least 5 paintings, maybe more, and ended up with 6 pieces sold by the end of the night! It was an awesome rush to find this kind of control over reality. So needless to say, I’m looking forward to my 3rd WLN.

Also the Big-Slide show again this year and #SummerSeries feels like time has stopped and the years just repeat. I’m fine with that. It was a good year to live.

There is still a lot of new developments too. I’m working on a collaborative proposal for an installation that might be at some really big events soon. I don’t want to spoil it so I’ll just say I’m really happy to be an active member of the Marketing Team of Winter, Silver, and Spring St. Studios. More to come on this as it develops… but here’s something to chew on:

I am preparing my 5 minute presentation coming up this Wednesday at Lawndale Art Center.
I will show my process behind the creation of the artwork that got me into this juried exhibit. Check out their event page for more details. It’s only five minutes but you’d be surprised what I can say in that amount of time. Plus it’s really interesting to see all the other artist’s way of working.
