SUMMARY:Arts Goggle - Fort Worth
DESCRIPTION:Fort Worth’s Largest Festival of Local Art!\nSaturday\, October 19\, 2024 from 12-10pm\nFREE COMMUNITY EVENT\n\nBlock 7 : 5th Avenue to Henderson Street\, Magnolia Avenue\n\nINFO: www.artsgoggle.org\n\n\nMark your calendar for the biggest day of the year in Fort Worth’s Near Southside when both ArtsGoggle and Lost ‘N Sound come together on Saturday\, October 19 from noon to 10:00pm. ArtsGoggle presented by Trinity Metro will be held on W. Magnolia Avenue from 8th Avenue to St. Louis Avenue\, occupying 18 city blocks and hosting more than 900 visual artists. This year the ArtsGoggle Main Stage sponsored by Moncrief Cancer Institute | UT Southwestern and supported by Visit Fort Worth and Hear Fort Worth will host 10 performances beginning every hour on the hour. Three large food courts sponsored by Hill Building Group and Moncrief Cancer Institute | UT Southwestern will showcase locally owned and operated food businesses. \nLost ‘N Sound will also take place on Saturday\, October 19 from noon to midnight as an indoor music festival in the Near Southside’s South Main Village district. More than 25 businesses will host FREE live music performances\, special menus\, markets and more as part of Lost ‘N Sound. More details about that event at www.lostnsound.org. \n\nLOCATION\nThe traditional ArtsGoggle footprint is primarily outdoors\, centered along Magnolia Avenue from 8th Avenue to S. Main Street\, 21 blocks\, one mile stretch. A feast of art!\nDue to the exciting campus reconstruction and expansion underway at JPS hospital\, this year’s ArtsGoggle will shorten the festival footprint along Magnolia Avenue stretching from 8th Avenue to St. Louis Avenue\, three blocks shorter than previous years to make way for construction needs. So the 2024 ArtsGoggle will be 18 blocks.\nArtsGoggle also hosts artists indoors at participating Near Southside venues such as restaurants\, bars\, offices\, and retailers who are hosting artists\, live music\, and other entertainment in celebration of ArtsGoggle!

SUMMARY:MASS: Small works - Modern Eden - San Francisco
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition Dates: November 11–December 1\, 2023\nOpening Reception: Saturday November 11\, 6-9 pm\n  \nIn a world where size is often equated with significance\, we challenge that notion\, inviting artists to explore the paradox of creating small works that command a massive presence. MASS is about the profound power and impact that can be conveyed in a few square inches\, and the way an art piece\, no matter how small\, can fill a room with its essence. We call on artists to tap into their ability to evoke grand ideas and prove that art’s influence isn’t bound by its physical size\, but by the magnitude of its spirit. \nFeaturing: Alexis Trice\, Allison Bamcat\, Amy Guidry\, Angelique Benicio\, Aunia Kahn\, Bob Doucette\, Caroline Gaudreault\, Catherine Moore\, Daniel Segrove\, Daryll Peirce\, Deirdre Sullivan-Beeman\, E.E. Kono\, Gabriela Sincich\, Genevive Zacconi\, Heidi Taillefer\, Henry Schreiber\, Jeannie L. ArtsGoggle provides a supportive setting for both aspiring and professional artists with new collections to display\, sell and seek comment on their artwork.\nAccompanying the visual artists\, the entertainment at ArtsGoggle heavily features local musicians and offers performances from a variety of genres. Live music\, art and a day to remember Michael! Support local artists from Conroe and Houston\, all art will be for sale! \nPrice: FREE \nFood Trucks: TBA \nMore info at Southern Star Brewery. \nPersonal note:\nI am extremely pleased to be participating again in this art show in memory of my late dear friend and fellow Houston artist\, Michel Draper. His friendship meant so much to me and since his passing I always feel a part of me and the community is a little less without him. Michel loved to have a good time and that’s what we did best\, so I will go drink plenty of the brews that he designed the 1st labels for at Southern Star and I hope you will join us. His can designs will forever live on to remind us of his artistic brilliance. I hope that this blog post also serves as a sort of memorial about him. There needs to be more content about his work on the internet. I hope to continue to add to this in the coming years.\nHere’s one of his works from our art collection: \nMichel H. Draper Art\nAnd here’s a video we did a while back tasting the beer label he created with my art: \n \nEnjoy!
